Our congregation is often described as warm and friendly and welcomes people regardless of whether they are far along in their journey toward God or haven’t even really begun such a journey. 

 

Desert Grace is a community moving forward on a journey toward God – and invite you to join us along the way. As a Church of the Nazarene, we are part of an association of more than 65 churches in Arizona and tens of thousands of congregations around the world.

OUR BELIEFS

THE BELIEFS NAZARENES HOLD TRUE

We believe in one God – the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

 

We believe that the Old and New Testament Scriptures, given by plenary inspiration, contain all truth necessary to faith and Christian living.

 

We believe that man is born with a fallen nature, and is, therefore, inclined to evil, and that continually.

 

We believe that the finally impenitent are hopelessly and eternally lost.

 

We believe that the atonement through Jesus Christ is for the whole human race; and that whosoever repents and believes on the Lord Jesus Christ is justified and regenerated and saved from the dominion of sin.

 

We believe that believers are to be sanctified wholly, subsequent to regeneration, through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

 

We believe that the Holy Spirit bears witness to the new birth, and also to the entire sanctification of believers.

 

We believe that our Lord will return, the dead will be raised, and the final judgment will take place.

OUR HISTORY

FROM DEATH TO LIFE

1. Founded in the 1990s as Desert Springs Community Church. The church met in a mortuary until moving to a school.

2. The first building was built by members of the church and paid for in cash, opening in 2003.

3. Grace Church of Yuma merged with Desert Springs, and the name Desert Grace was adopted.

4. A second building was built and opened in 2005.

5. Jessie's Closet Foster Child Resource Center was founded in 2013, at the same time as the church started hosting Upward Sports.
